Three-day fun and inspiring mentorship program based in beautiful Seattle, WA. Learn from an accomplished wedding planner, including: business start-up & management 101, key planning tools, and invaluable shadowing experiences.
Day in the office with Katy*
- Learn how to write contracts, budgets and detailed wedding task list
- Sit in on client and vendor phone calls
- Sit in on prospect calls: how to sell yourself!
- Learn nuances of the liaison role: vendor relations
- Learn process of building a wedding day timeline
- See how Katy keeps it all straight and clients happy: filing, email & voicemail management, check-ins
- Help with assembly of invitations, favors and more
- Witness week-of wedding prep including vendor confirmations, packing your emergency kit, etc.
On the Road with Katy*
- Sit-in on the Vows signature “Launch Meeting” (where the plans begin taking shape!)

Rehearsal Day with Katy*
- Help organize line-up of the procession

Wedding Day with Katy*

- Learn the nuances of being a great organizer without being a drill sergeant

Katy’s Background
Worked for a premier public relations firm, including account executive & internship coordinator positions; board of directors seat and resume/career counseling for a local non-profit organization; and 10 years of managing events from high-end wedding celebrations to corporate launches. Katy holds a degree from Gonzaga University in Journalism & Sociology.
